Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that usually appear for most people in their late teens and early twenties. For some, the eruption of wisdom teeth poses no threat when there is adequate space. For most, these third molars often position themselves horizontally or at other awkward angles. The result can cause crowding and damage to adjacent teeth, jaw or nerves.

Patients are given local anesthetics to assure that they feel no discomfort, but other medicines are available for patients who feel they may need additional levels of comfort such as, Halcion (oral sedation), nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or IV Sedation. As with all procedures, Drs. Morgan and Lemke will make sure you are treated with the utmost in compassionate and professional care.
Wisdom teeth can also not completely erupt, causing them to be covered with tissue (impaction) which can lead to bacteria entering the cavity causing infection, inflammation, and discomfort. These hard-to-reach molars are difficult to brush and floss, sometimes causing decay due to their position.
